Our Club:
Our club offers a friendly learning environment that allows all to participate, learn, and even teach others. We have people of all levels competing. Everyone helps everyone else grasp the material. Our competitions are all great for learning or just having fun. We have four CyberPatriot teams, one middle school team: (Bulldogs), one all-girls high school team (Las Segundas), one all-boys team (NetEaglets), and our founding team(NetEagles). We have one Zero Robotics team(SpaceEagles) and one PicoCTF team (CyberEagles). |
Our Competitions:
CyberPatriot: A Cyber security competition, in which teams fix and secure operating systems, build and secure networks, and complete forensics challenges. Zero Robotics: An programming competition, in which teams program satellites to do missions in C++. This year, it became an international competition. PicoCTF: A computer security "capture the flag" competition, in which teams solve computer forensics, reverse-engineering, decryption, and ethical hacking (good hacking intended for nonmalicious purposes) challenges. |
Our achievements:
One of our CyberPatriot teams, NetEagles participated in the national finals for CyberPatriot in 2014. Our Zero Robotics team, SpaceEagles participated in the national finals for Zero Robotics in 2014 and international finals for Zero Robotics in 2015. Our PicoCTF team, CyberEagles, ranked in the top 3% of over 3000 teams in PicoCTF. Our Middle school team, Bulldogs, won 1st place in the Leidos Cyber Security Forensics competition and the Cisco Networking challenge competition. We have attained recognition from the ESUSD Board of Education and media attention from the El Segundo Herald, Daily Breeze, and El Segundo TV. |
Why should I join?
Cyber Security club is a great way to learn about the security aspect of technology. We also learn other skills such as programming or forensics and much more. We are a friendly, organized, high-achieving club. Our club not only provides a comfortable place to learn and make friends, but also a place to achieve and get recognition for college applications. We are open to any high school or middle school students. It's a lot of fun. So, join our club! |
